What books have people read and found to be really good? Chapter 5 of Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs and chapter 7 of Lisp in Small Pieces both present byte-code interpreting virtual machines for Scheme that are implemented in Scheme. But one, day I found a nice small piece of lisp which allow me simplify the process. Do any of these topics have better books? I find The Little Schemer and The Seasoned Schemer to be very good complements to SICP and I recommend them wholeheartedly for everyone.
